| In Confucianism of astrology the big role as was considered that knowledge of its regularities can help with achievement of qualities of the ideal personality (junzi) was given. Education of junzi, approach to an ideal example of moral and cultural behavior, was one of the main tasks of the Confucian doctrine. Besides, astrology as the doctrine about "universal harmony" helped with establishment of public order that Confucianism as the doctrine of ruling elite, in every possible way welcomed. "To operate - means to order", - Confucius said, seeing in building "general order" a most important task and an ultimate goal of the way of moral, cultural, mental and social development of the person and society. Thus, astrology became the natural assistant in establishment of Confucian rituals. |
